Dr. Fred Barez is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at San Jose State University (SJSU). Dr. Barez is also director of the Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technology Laboratory where he is engaged in research related to advanced transportation including electric drive propulsion system, collision avoidance sensors and application, smart and driverless vehicles , vehicle mobile connectivity, vehicle cyber security, virtual driving, distracted driving, and autonomous vehicles through collaboration with industry. He teaches Dynamic Systems Vibration and Control, Electronics Packaging and Design, Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Fundamentals, Dr. Barez has authored over 60 journal and conference publications, 4 book manuscripts and 2 book chapters. He has supervised 180 graduate student projects and theses. Dr. Barez is an active reviewer for several national and international publications related to energy, battery storage, energy efficiency and management, and smart sensors and devices. Prior to joining San Jose State University, Dr. Barez worked in Disk Drive Storage industry and was co-founder and founder of two successful start-ups. Dr. Barez is a member and Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

His research involves Smart Vehicles, Advanced Transportation, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Smart Home and Energy Efficiency. He is also involved in space exploration and developing self-contained habitation modules for use in orbit or on planets.

Eduardo B. Farfán, a professor of Nuclear Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, has been at Kennesaw State University since 2014. He was born in La Paz Bolivia and completed his undergraduate studies in Nuclear Physics at the Belorussian State University in Minsk, Belarus. He then obtained a second B.S. in Nuclear Engineering at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. Farfán earned a Masters of Engineering and Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering Sciences at the University of Florida. As a graduate student, Farfán received a U.S. Department-of-Energy Applied Health Physics Fellowship from the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education and U.S. Department-of-Energy Nuclear Engineering and Health Physics Fellowship from the Office of Nuclear Energy, Science, and Technology to complete his ME and Ph.D., respectively. His experience includes fifteen years of experience in Nuclear Engineering and Health Physics fields involving radiation protection, internal/external/environmental dosimetry and radiation detector/radiation mapping prototype development with increasing responsibilities of program development, technical complexity, project management, and leadership. Farfán has actively participated in radiation safety programs and their field implementation. He has developed procedures to determine suitable engineered radiological controls and dose exposure reduction methods. Some of the tools used for this purpose include mapping technologies, photon/gamma ray shielding and dose assessment programs, Monte Carlo/deterministic simulations, and analyses of radiological survey data. In addition, Farfán has developed and taught undergraduate and graduate health physics/nuclear engineering/mechanical engineering courses, provided health physics training, and mentored less experience personnel and several interns. He worked as an Assistant Professor for the Nuclear Engineering Program at South Carolina State University and the Department of Physics at Idaho State University. Farfán also worked as a Principal Engineer for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Savannah River National Laboratory. He is fluent in Spanish and Russian. His knowledge of the Russian culture has helped him tremendously with several projects involving radiological risk assessments of the Chernobyl Accident. Farfán has a large number of publications and has presented his work extensively at meetings of scientific societies. He has a few US patents. Farfán has had several positions in professional societies including Chair of the American Nuclear Society’s Decommissioning and Environmental Sciences Division and President of the Savannah River Site Chapter of the Health Physics Society.

Ramamurthy Prabhakaran,joined at Old Dominion University in 1979 and working as an eminent professor of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, has been at the Old Dominion University since 1987. He obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology in 1970. He worked as a Graduate Research Assistant, I.I.T., Chicago from 1967-1970; Research Associate, I.I.T., Chicago from 1971- 1972; and worked as Assistant Professor in Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India; promoted to full Professor in 1980; Associate Professor, Old Dominion University, Norfolk, from 1979- 1985; Professor, Old Dominion University from 1985- 1987.

Ramesh K. Agarwal is the William Palm Professor of Engineering and the director of Aerospace Research and Education Center at Washington University in St. Louis. From 1994 to 2001, he was the Sam Bloomfield Distinguished Professor and Executive Director of the National Institute for Aviation Research at Wichita State University in Kansas. From 1978 to 1994, he worked in various scientific and managerial positions at McDonnell Douglas Research Laboratories in St. Louis. He became the Program Director and McDonnell Douglas Fellow in 1990. Dr. Agarwal received Ph.D in Aeronautical Sciences from Stanford University in 1975, M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1969 and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India in 1968. He is the author and coauthor of over 400 publications and serves on the editorial board of 20+ journals. He has given many plenary, keynote and invited lectures at various national and international conferences worldwide. Professor Agarwal continues to serve on many academic, government, and industrial advisory committees. Julius Kaplunov has received his PhD and DSC from the Institute for Problems in Mechanics. Moscow. He is Professor and Head of Mathematics Research Centre at Keele University, UK. He has co-authored around 130 publications and served as an editorial board member of a number of reputed journals, such as Mathematics and Mechanics of Solids and Mechanics of Time Dependent Materials. His awards and honors include a Humboldt Fellowship at TU Munich, Russian State Prize in Science in Technology, along with visiting positions at University of Alberta, Bordeaux University, University of Modena, City University of Hong-Kong, and Tel-Aviv University

My research interests lie in the general area of physical applied mathematics, including continuum mechanics, acoustics, asymptotic analysis, and multi-scale modelling.

Dr. Beyene received his Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Power Engineering from Warsaw University of Technology. He joined the faculty of SDSU in 1989. His research has been concerned with energy systems: renewables, efficient power sources with emphasis on combined heat and power applications, cycle and energy analyses, mathematical modeling, and simulation. He has won numerous grants from US Department of Energy, San Diego Gas and Electric, California Energy Commission, Oakridge National Lab, University City Science Center, Lockheed Martin, California Institute for Energy Efficiency, and Southern California Edison Co. In his spare time, he plays soccer and skis on the famous slopes of the Sierra.

Chan Ham, an Associate professor and Department Chair of Mechatronics Eng. at Kennesaw State University, since 2015. He is working as a faculty member at Southern Polytechnic State University/ Kennesaw State University, USA from 2010. Now he is working as an Associate Prof. & Dept. J.F. Woodward completed a Ph.D. in history (of science) at the University of Denver in 1972 after obtaining bachelors and masters degrees in physics at Middlebury College and New York University in the 1960s. Retired in 2005, he is emeritus professor of history and adjunct professor of physics at California State University Fullerton where he continues to do experimental work on advanced propulsion and the enigmatic sciences (gravity manipulation). Noting that inertia in general relativity is a gravitational phenomenon where local objects are seemingly instantaneously coupled to distant matter in the universe, he has elaborated a way that transient phenomena can be used to perform said manipulation. This, and other material related to this talk, can be found in his recent book: Making Starships and Stargates: the Science of Interstellar Propulsion and Absurdly Benign Wormholes published by Springer Verlag in 2013. His work is supported by the exotic propulsion initiative of the Space Studies Institute.

He is Fellow of American Nuclear Society (ANS) and recipient of the 2014 ANS Compton Award.

Rai published over 100 articles on subjects of aeronautic dentistry, micro-gravity, human factors, antioxidants, cancer markers, saliva, oral, systemic diseases and forensic dentistry. David C. Hyland, currently Royce E. Wisenbaker Chair of Engineering, Professor of Aerospace Engineering, Adjunct Professor of Physics, has been at Texas A&M University for 9 years. At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Hyland was awarded the S. B. degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1969 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, also in Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1971 and 1973, respectively. From September 1969 through July 1983, Hyland served at the MIT Lincoln Laboratory, first was as Research Associate (until ’73), then as staff member. Beginning in August 1983, Hyland organized and subsequently led the Structural Control Group within the Government Aerospace Systems Division of Harris Corporation. He has served as Principal Investigator and Chief Scientist for numerous research programs for NASA and AFOSR. In February 1992, Dr. Hyland was promoted to Senior Scientist and assigned to the Senior Staff of the Vice President of Engineering of the Aerospace Systems Division Hyland joined the faculty of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, on May 1, 1996 and served as Full Professor with tenure and Chairman of the Aerospace Engineering Department until September 1, 2003. He joined Texas A&M University in 2003 as Associate Vice Chancellor of Engineering, Associate Dean of the Dwight Look College of Engineering, holder of the Wisenbaker Chair of Engineering, Professor of Aerospace Engineering in the College of Engineering and Professor of Physics in the College of Science. Youmin Zhang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and the Concordia Institute of Aerospace Design and Innovation (CIADI) at Concordia University, Canada. Elzbieta Jarzebowska is currently a Professor at the Institute of Aeronautics and Applied Mechanics at the Power and Aeronautical Engineering Department, Warsaw University of Technology, Warsaw, Poland. She received the B.S., M.S., Ph.D., and D.Sc. degrees in mechanical engineering, control and mechanics of constrained systems, from the Warsaw University of Technology. Her fields of research expertise and teaching includes dynamics modeling and analysis of multibody systems, nonlinear control of multibody systems including nonholonomic, underactuated, UAV, and mobile robotic systems, and geometric control theory. Prof. Jarzębowska was involved in research projects for Automotive Research Centre and Engineering Research Centre for Reconfigurable Machining Systems at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. Also, she gained valuable experience after she worked for Ford Motor Company Research Laboratories, Dearborn, MI. Gangbing Song is the founding Director of the Smart Materials and Structures Laboratory and a Professor of both Mechanical Engineering and Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Houston. He is a recipient of the NSF CAREER grant in 2001. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Columbia University in the City of New York in 1995 and 1991, respectively. Sondipon Adhikari is the chair of Aerospace Engineering in the College of Engineering of Swansea University. Currently, he is a Wolfson Research Merit Award holder from the Royal Society. He received his Ph.D. in 2001 from the University of Cambridge (in Trinity College). He was an Engineering and Physical Science Research Council (EPSRC) Advanced Research Fellow and winner of the Philip Leverhulme Prize (2007). He was a lecturer at the Bristol University and a Junior Research Fellow in Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge. He was a visiting Professor at the Carleton University, University of Johannesburg and a visiting scientist at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Fred F. Afagh joined Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at Carleton University in Sept. 1987 where he have been involved in teaching and research for the last 25 years. John Yates joined the University of Manchester in August 2010 as Professor of Computational Mechanics and Director of the Centre for Modelling and Simulation. John is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. He is also a Higher Education Academy National Teaching Fellow and Chair of the Editors of the international journal, Fatigue and Fracture of Engineering Materials and Structures. John studied at Cambridge, Cranfield and the University of Sheffield where he gained his PhD. He joined the academic staff in Sheffield in 1984, became a Professor in 2000 and from 2004 to 2008, he was Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Kimberly Turner's interests involve many areas of microsystems, especially dynamics and characterization, and applications utilizing interesting dynamics. In 1994 she earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. She received her Ph.D. (1999) in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from Cornell University, where she did primarily MEMS-based work. She joined the department of Mechanical & Environmental Engineering at UCSB in August 1999, where she is continuing her research in the areas of MEMS and nanosystems. Her research group consists of 6 Ph.D. students, 3 undergraduate researchers and a postdoc. She has written over 80 peer-reviewed articles. She is a member of many professional societies, and is the recipient of an NSF CAREER award, the UCSB Academic Senate Distinguished Teaching Award, the MTU Outstanding Young Alumni Award, a member of the Michigan Technological University Presidential Alumnae Council, and is General Chair for the 2010 America's Workshop on Solid-State Sensors & Actuators. Guillermo Araya is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas Tech University. After completing his Ph.D. degree in Aeronautical Engineering in August 2008 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, New York, US), he joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, Maryland, US) as a Postdoctoral Fellow under the supervision of Prof. Charles Meneveau. He has been a Research Assistant at Swansea University (UK) from 2009 to 2011. His research interests include computational fluid dynamics of turbulent incompressible and compressible flows, wind energy array modeling, DNS, LES, RANS, URANS, turbulence modeling, heat transfer and flow control.

Nan Wu received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at University of Manitoba in 2012. From 2006 to 2008, he worked as a research assistant and lab technologist in the field of the vibration test, fault diagnoses and vibration control of vehicle and aero-engine rotor system. Currently, he is working as a research assistant in Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at University of Manitoba. Yu-Lung Lo received his B.S. degree from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan, in 1985, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Smart Materials and Structures Research Center, University of Maryland, College Park, USA in 1992 and 1995, respectively. After graduation, he joined the Opto-Electronics and Systems Laboratories of the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), working on fiber optic smart structures and fiber communications. David C. Hyland, currently Royce E. Wisenbaker Chair of Engineering, Professor of Aerospace Engineering, Adjunct Professor of Physics, has been at Texas A&M University for 9 years. At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Dr. Hyland was awarded the S. B. degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1969 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, also in Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1971 and 1973, respectively. From September 1969 through July 1983, Dr. Hyland served at the MIT Lincoln Laboratory, first was as Research Associate (until ’73), then as Staff Member. Beginning in August 1983, Dr. Hyland organized and subsequently led the Structural Control Group within the Government Aerospace Systems Division of Harris Corporation. He has served as Principal Investigator and Chief Scientist for numerous research programs for NASA and AFOSR. In February 1992, Dr. Hyland was promoted to Senior Scientist and assigned to the Senior Staff of the Vice President of Engineering of the Aerospace Systems Division Dr. Hyland joined the faculty of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, on May 1, 1996 and served as Full Professor with tenure and Chairman of the Aerospace Engineering Department until September 1, 2003. V. Utkin graduated from Moscow Power Institute (Dipl. Eng.) and received a Ph.D. from the Institute of Control Sciences (Moscow, Russia). He was with the Institute of Control Sciences since 1960, and was Head of the Discontinuous Control Systems Laboratory from 1973 to 1994. He was Ford Chair of Electromechanical Systems from 1994 to 2002 at the Ohio State University. Prof. Utkin is one of the originators of the concepts of Variable Structure Systems and Sliding Mode Control. He is an author of five books and more than 300 technical papers. In 1975-1978 he was in charge of an international project between his Institute and "Energoinvest", Sarajevo, on the sliding mode control of induction motors. He has worked on the control of D.C., induction, and synchronous drives using sliding mode techniques in metal-cutting machine tools, process control and electric cars. Richard W. Longman is professor of mechanical and civil engineering, Columbia University, and was Distinguished Romberg Guest Professor, University of Heidelberg, Germany. He received a 50,000 Euro Award for lifetime achievement in research from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, and the Dirk Brouwer Award from the American Astronautical Society (AAS) for contributions to spaceflight mechanics. He is Fellow of AAS and AIAA. He served the AAS as Vice President - Publications, VP Technical, First Vice President, and Member Board of Directors. Prof Yufeng Yao (BEng, MSc, PhD, FRAeS, AFAIAA, MASME) is currently Professor in Aerospace Engineering at University of the West of England (UWE). At UWE, He has established and now head Engineering Modelling and Simulation research group which explores complex engineering design, analysis and control relevant issues occurred in practical engineering systems. Prof Yao is also a visiting Professor at Zhejiang University, China. Prof Yao’s research interest includes direct numerical simulation (DNS) and large-eddy simulations (LES) of complex geometry turbulent flows, transitional flow in shock/boundary-layer interactions and Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) modelling of single- and multi-phase flows and heat transfer for industrial applications such as turbo-machinery, automotive and built environment. Dr Zhong is a Reader and the head of the aerospace research theme at School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering, Manchester University. She received her PhD from Cambridge University in 1994. Prior to joining Manchester as a lecturer in 1997, she has worked as a research associate at Oxford University for three years. Dr Zhong’s research is primarily concerned with shear flows with emphasis on boundary layer laminar-to-turbulent transition, flow control and fluid mixing. Dr. Jin Xuan is an Assistant Professor and leads the Advanced Reaction Engineering group in Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK. He obtained his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Hong Kong in 2011. He was a visiting researcher in The University of Hong Kong and City University of Hong Kong during 2011-2014. Dr. Eng. JM Bergada received his PhD from University Politechnic of Catalunya (UPC) (1996), Barcelona, Spain. His dissertation involved CFD flow simulation inside a servovalve and acoustic servovalve vibrations linked with flow instabilities. From 1996 to 2001 he developed several research projects at the Textile Research Institute (UPC). During the period 2000-2010 his research focused on CFD simulations and mathematical development of flow in relieve valves and axial piston pumps, this research being developed in collaboration with Prof. John Watton at Cardiff University UK. Several measurement test rigs were co-designed and build at Cardiff University to validate the theoretical results. From 2011 to 2014, his research was based in a collaboration with TU-Berlin, and the research focused on performance evaluation of fluidic amplifiers, mathematical study of vortexes generated below airplane wings nearby the ground, and dynamic frequency and amplitude variations of fluid placed inside small pipes used in turbulent flow measurements. From January 1990 until the present, he has always been working in the Fluid Mechanics department at ETSEIAT-UPC. During this period he has been in charge of three main subjects, Fluid Mechanics, Fluid Power and Hydraulic Machinery. He has over 70 papers published in international Journals and national and International conferences. He has recently written a book on Fluid Mechanics and one on Fluid Power, several solved problems books with other co-authors, related with hydraulic machinery and Fluid Power, are also to be considered.

Dr Mehdi Nazarinia is an assistant professor of Fluid Mechanics and Renewable Energy at Heriot-Watt University (HWU), Dubai. He is specialised in experimental fluid dynamics and aerodynamics of heavy vehicles in particular. He has finished his PhD in Fluid Mechanics in 2010 at Monash University, Australia. He was working in Monash Wind Tunnel and as postdoctoral fellow at the University of Melbourne before joining HWU. He also has MSc and BSc in Aerospace Engineering. J.F. Woodward completed a Ph.D. in history (of science) at the University of Denver in 1972 after obtaining bachelors and masters degrees in physics at Middlebury College and New York University in the 1960s. Retired in 2005, he is emeritus professor of history and adjunct professor of physics at California State University Fullerton where he continues to do experimental work on advanced propulsion and the enigmatic sciences (gravity manipulation). Noting that inertia in general relativity is a gravitational phenomenon where local objects are seemingly instantaneously coupled to distant matter in the universe, he has elaborated a way that transient phenomena can be used to perform said manipulation. Stephen A. Whitmore. is a professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering at Utah State University. He joined USU after 28+ years working for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Dr. Whitmore's recent research focus at USU is on the development of piloted simulation models for lunar-return lifting reentry vehicles, with an emphasis of developing high-precision low-dispersion footprint techniques for lifting aero-capture and aero assist. He is supporting the NASA and Lockheed CEV Entry, Descent, and Landing EDL team. Dr. Whitmore is director of the Chimaera Hybrid Rocketry program at USU. Dr. Fred Barez is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at San Jose State University (SJSU). Dr. Barez is also director of the Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technology Laboratory where he is engaged in research related to advanced transportation including electric drive propulsion system, collision avoidance sensors and application, smart and driverless vehicles , vehicle mobile connectivity, vehicle cyber security, virtual driving, distracted driving, and autonomous vehicles through collaboration with industry. He teaches Dynamic Systems Vibration and Control, Electronics Packaging and Design, Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Fundamentals, Dr. Barez has authored over 60 journal and conference publications, 4 book manuscripts and 2 book chapters. He has supervised 180 graduate student projects and theses. Dr. Barez is an active reviewer for several national and international publications related to energy, battery storage, energy efficiency and management, and smart sensors and devices. Prior to joining San Jose State University, Dr. Barez worked in Disk Drive Storage industry and was co-founder and founder of two successful start-ups. Dr. Barez is a member and Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

His research involves Smart Vehicles, Advanced Transportation, Machine Learning, Cyber Security, Smart Home and Energy Efficiency. He is also involved in space exploration and developing self-contained habitation modules for use in orbit or on planets.

Julius Kaplunov has received his PhD and DSC from the Institute for Problems in Mechanics. Moscow. He is Professor and Head of Mathematics Research Centre at Keele University, UK. He has co-authored around 130 publications and served as an editorial board member of a number of reputed journals, such as Mathematics and Mechanics of Solids and Mechanics of Time Dependent Materials. His awards and honors include a Humboldt Fellowship at TU Munich, Russian State Prize in Science in Technology, along with visiting positions at University of Alberta, Bordeaux University, University of Modena, City University of Hong-Kong, and Tel-Aviv University

My research interests lie in the general area of physical applied mathematics, including continuum mechanics, acoustics, asymptotic analysis, and multi-scale modelling.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Dean Vučinić, has joined Vesalius College (VeCo), which is affiliated to the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), as senior scientist and advisor in 2017. He has been affiliated to VUB since 1988. Before joining VeCo, he was guest professor and senior research scientist at the VUB Faculty of Engineering Sciences (IR) as member of two of its departments: Mechanical Engineering (MECH) and Electronics & Informatics (ETRO). He is part-time associate professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology (FERIT), University of Osijek, holding the chair of Visual Computing.His Ph.D. thesis became a book in 2010, ISBN 978-3-8383-3500-1. In the early 90's he developed "CFView - Computational Field Visualization System", the first-time-ever interactive visualization software adapted to numerical simulation solvers, completely based on the object-oriented technology, and fully implemented in C++. It has to be noted that VUB spin-off NUMECA is still using his software after more than 20 years, and in addition, more than 20 VUB PhD-s applied CFView in their visualization and data analysis tasks. During almost 30 years at VUB, he successfully participated in more than 20 European projects under the European Frameworks, EUREKA/ITEA and Tempus educational programs. He is author of more than 50 scientific papers in international reviewed journals and conference proceedings, and in addition, author of several book chapters. He is member of International Advisory Boards and Scientific Committees of Journals and Conferences, acting as chair, session organizer, reviewer and editor of respective papers proceedings. Due to his international presence, he is promoting and encouraging international cooperation in research and development, and education, just mentioning some of the realized initiatives with USA, Canada, Russia, Brazil, India and Japan, among others. He is the European Commission expert in H2020 and member of international organizations as follows: AIAA, IEEE,ACM,SAE&ASME.

His work is mostly related to Research and Development (R&D) projects, and his interest covers the topics of Scientific Visualization, Modelling and Simulation, Optimization methodologies and techniques, which are very often found together in solving complex problems within the multidisciplinary engineering and computer science domains.

Bruce Chehroudi has accumulated years of technical and leadership experiences in different capacities and organizations. This includes such positions as President at Advanced Technology Consultants, Principal Scientist and Group Leader appointment at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) ERCInc, a Chief Scientist at Raytheon STX, a Visiting Technologist at Ford’s Advanced Manufacturing Technology Development (AMTD) center, a tenured Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Kettering University and University of Illinois, and served as a Senior Research Staff/Research Fellow at Princeton University. Chehroudi directed numerous multi-million dollar interdisciplinary projects in areas involving chemically reacting flows, combustion and emission of pollutants, sustainable and alternative energy sources, distributed ignition, material/fuel injection, advanced pollution reduction technologies, propulsion concepts, gas turbine and liquid rocket engines, combustion instability, laser optical diagnostics, spectroscopy, supercritical fluids and applications in environmental and propulsion systems, advanced composites, MEMS, nanotechnology, and micro fluidics.

Ramamurthy Prabhakaran,joined at Old Dominion University in 1979 and working as an eminent professor of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, has been at the Old Dominion University since 1987. He obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology in 1970. He worked as a Graduate Research Assistant, I.I.T., Chicago from 1967-1970; Research Associate, I.I.T., Chicago from 1971- 1972; and worked as Assistant Professor in Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India; promoted to full Professor in 1980; Associate Professor, Old Dominion University, Norfolk, from 1979- 1985; Professor, Old Dominion University from 1985- 1987.

Shaaban Abdallah, a professor of Aerospace Engineering, has been at the university of Cincinnati since 1989. He obtained his PhD in Aerospace Engineering at the university of Cincinnati in 1980. Dr. Abdallah joined Penn State University from 1981 to 1988. His research interests include Computational Fluid Dynamics, nano fluids, Turbo-machines, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Medical devices. Abdallah has two US patents on centrifugal compressors and three disclosures with university of Cincinnati on medical devices.

Dr. Podowski is Professor of Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics in the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Nuclear Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and Director of Center for Multiphase Research. Professor Podowski has over 350 technical publications, including 7 books/book-chapters and 60+ journal papers. He is Fellow of American Nuclear Society (ANS) and recipient of the 2014 ANS Compton Award.

Timothy Sands completed his PhD at the Naval Postgraduate School and postdoctoral studies at Stanford University and Columbia University. He is Dean and Senior Military Professor at the Air Force Institute of Technology. He has published research in archival journals, conference proceedings, a book chapter, in addition to keynote and invitational presentations.
